Article marketing tips are easy to come by on the web; from how to write a high quality SEO article to how to get a Platinum EzineArticles account, but the most important part of article marketing is writing an effective resource box. This should not detract from the fact that multiple calls to action must be placed throughout the body of the article, but ultimately it is the resource box that sells when it comes to article marketing. If your SEO articles are well-written but they’re not converting, consider the following article marketing tips:

1.) Make the resource box a continuation of the article. If you do so, many readers will not even be aware that the article has actually ended and your sales pitch begun. This will allow you to easily transition into asking for the sale. The article doesn’t end until the resource box ends, allowing you to build a funnel that successively draws the reader in to click on whatever link you’re offering.

2.) Make the hyperlink an exact match. This is important for search engine optimization purposes and helps to create a stronger call to action. For instance, if the link where you want your reader to go is http://www.article-marketing-works.com, then create a hyper link within a compelling sentence, such as: “Need to know how article marketing works?”

3.) Never be afraid to ask for the sale. Many excellent writers craft engaging and compelling articles only to softly suggest a possible sale in a weakly written resource box. Instead, use powerful language and be direct. If you’re selling a product or service, come straight out and ask for the sale. Remember- it doesn’t always have to be a hard sell- you can simply be asking for an email address- but if you don’t ask you’ll never get it.

The resource box is your last chance to retain your customer, and should be written assuming that for some reason your calls to action in the body were not sufficient. As a result, resource boxes should not be written as if you are asking for the sale for the first time- they should be written as if you are insisting on the sale for the last time. This is the most difficult but rewarding task to learn when it comes to successful article marketing.
